How I think Claude can help you save about a day a week, if you're a creative founder or business owner

business Oct 01, 2026

How and why I use AI (Claude), as a solo business owner

This tool is so incredible, it feels like cheating the system. But if the system is unfairly rigged against women who get stuck in ‘default mode’ and the majority of domestic duties at home - whilst trying to have a successful business - then I absolutely see it as a way of levelling the playing field.

(note - everything I describe below is what I do as a paid plan subscriber)

Reason number one - to save time

On top of my business I also have two kids currently under 5. Nuff said.

I love working in and on my business, I also like hanging out with my girls, making them food and doing things that make me feel great and human - like working out, walking and (goal for this year - writing music on the piano again - I haven’t had a hobby for about 6 years, and I want that to change).

Reason two - to enable you to invest money in your business where it really makes a difference

One of my goals with marketing is to free up money I can use for ads. Organic social media just feels like the biggest con, it’s a time sponge.

So here’s an example of a money swap I want to make - I’ve saved cash by getting Claude to re-design my brand and website, and I’ll use that saving with ads in the new year.

What using Claude looks like IRL (real examples)

I’m baking bread whilst C is building out my website on Kajabi editor.

I’m playing with my daughter whilst C is going in to my blog posts and putting in keywords we’ve decided on.

I’m doing yoga whilst C is researching my ideal client and putting together a report for me to read when I’m done.

What I actually get Claude to do on the daily

Website changes, format tweaks - I’ll do in design - literally just telling it what I want the result to be in spoken english - export the new html and take it into Co-work (well it’s all just one thing now - chat and co-work = cool) and ask it to update. It’s connected to my Kajabi site so it goes in and actually does the code edits without me faffing around.

Draft content strategy plans = ideas for content posts on IG and LinkedIn. Claude can go in and edit my Notion Content Planner, putting in the backbone for posts with a bit of strategic thinking. I can just come in and add in the creativity. If it doesn’t sit right, it might spark a different idea and I’ll go with it.

Design Instagram text carousel posts with my brand palette. I just have to then go in, find the images and write the text. Thinking of graphic layouts has always taken absolutely ages (without great results) even starting with Canva templates. Then I’ve always over-edited the templates so they look crap by the end!

Checking - my whole website for broken links

Analysing - look at my IG profile and tell me which posts are doing the best and why

What I don’t get Claude to do

Write captions or content for me. I’ve told it not to edit what I write at all, because I believe in order to connect properly with other humans, you have to show up as one - totally. You can sniff out AI generated text a mile off, which is a huge turn off for me.

Going deeper

I’ve loved noodling about on Claude for a while. I actually find it quite creative and collaborative.

True story: I took a picture of my dress and trainers when the colours were bringing me a lot of joy, and we went from there.

I love learning so of course, I’ve upskilled myself here

I wouldn’t say I’m obsessed with Claude, but I had a calling to follow my curiosity with it when I saw how much it could do.

So I’ve dived deeper and learned how to create Skills which are basically repeated workflows you do all the time.

My first one was the website editing flow I described above. Now I just drop the downloaded html and say ‘use the skill’ and it cracks on. This task alone probably saves me about 3 hours a week, at least.

Where I think it could be incredible for female business owners and solopreneurs

I have lots of chats with my clients about time management and using their (often stretched) time more effectively. Here’s a few tasks off the top of my head I think could be outsourced so they can stay in their creative genius lanes:

  • Editing websites (Wordpress sites are getting a bit of a functionality slamming in my calls at the moment, I’ve found out they CAN be connected to Claude)
  • Staying organised with your time - linked to goals and to-do lists
  • Designing social media, Instagram and Linkedin posts - swap out for DIY’ing on Canva
  • Researching keywords for blog posts and SEO
  • SEO optimisation

I could go on...
