Do you identify as ‘creative’?

Why I want to work with Creative Female Founders and business owners as clients
I reckon if you’re a founder, business owner, CEO, or director - I think you’re inherently creative.
But you might have grown up with the idea that in order to be creative you have to be good at painting or drawing.
As an artist, when I’ve worked with different groups or communities, this is often the first ‘block’ to address. They think if they can’t draw or paint - recreating a likeness to something in front of them - they’re not creative. Creativity is not as basic as that, but that view feels quite baked-in to society.
If you write, edit, make music, make videos, write, do gardening, DIY, decorating, re-styling a room, playing with kids - you’re creative - and this is by no means an exhaustive list.
And in business, if you’re writing blog posts, LinkedIn posts, designing Instagram reels and carousels, business cards, coming up with new offers and services and how to promote everything - you’re creative.
And I believe creative women are the best. They’re resourceful, inspiring, talented, whippy and resilient. That’s why I want to work with them.

How creativity is showing up for me in this ‘era’ of my life and work.
The Coaching process is a hugely creative and collaborative process. I love the analogy I learned in my training about going on a journey together - the client is in the driving seat, it’s their car, and I’m in the passenger seat helping with directions.
Outside of client sessions, my creativity has found a new seam of interest:
- Creating tools and resources for my client I mentor around productivity and prioritising.
- Designing mini creative resets in instructive audio and written forms
- Taking photos and videos for future content B roll.

What happens when you lose your creative mojo
You can’t tune into new ideas - offers, services, things to sell and make money.
You don’t have any ideas for marketing and social media posts, so you become invisible (and sales dry up).
You feel frustrated with your business and this filters down into how you are with your family and loved ones.
You might start asking yourself ‘WTF am I doing with my life/time/days?’
Creative SOS reset
At that point it might be time for a creative reset. This is about taking the pressure off and re-tuning into what lights you up. It doesn’t have to be what it was before, when you were younger/ had more energy/before you had young kids. It can be new and different, but it’s just about giving yourself the opportunities to step off the hamster wheel to explore what creativity looks like now.
It’s also not about creating a work of art. It’s about the process, and being in a state of flow and remembering what that feels like. In my head, I imagine it’s like plugging yourself back into the charger and getting that spark back.

Some little ideas for a reset
- Take yourself on an artist’s date. Curate a day around culture and art. Visit a gallery, go to an exhibition, go to an art shop. What gets you inspired and excited?
- Go into nature and let your brain get quiet
- Move your body with music or silence (no business podcasts) I often find when I’m getting back into just BEING with my body, that is when new creative ideas come through without even trying.
